Puligny-Montrachet 1er cru « hameau de Blagny »
A fine signature wine, worthy of the best Puligny climats, "Hameau de Blagny" produces wines of high quality, combining finesse and tension.
Early on, the so-called "varietal" aromas hint of white flowers (hawthorn, acacia), citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit), white fruit, and toast, that evolve and progressively blend together to produce a lively, tense and elegant wine.
As an aperitif, paired with pan-fried scallops or Norway lobster cooked in butter. We strongly advise you to save one last glass for the cheese course: Comté, fresh goat's cheese, or we particularly recommend Brie or Truffle Brillat-Savarin.
Meursault 1er cru « les Ravelles »
Located right at the top of Blagny, on the boundary with Puligny-Montrachet, this parcel is very rich in white clay and underground springs run through it. This adds great finesse and crispness to the wine. The fruit is expressed in generous nuances, with notes of acacia flowers and a minerality that is the signature of the Blagny terroirs.
Ideal with grilled shellfish (king prawns), foie gras and blue cheeses.
Meursault-Blagny 1er cru
A good hundred metres above Meursault, these vines, in varying degrees of clay-limestone marl soil, offer a wine that is both tense and very fruity, a subtle blend of minerality and roundness.
A rich, fruity, strong flavour is sustained by spicy, mineral notes, and pairs perfectly with aromatic and exotic cuisine.
Meursault-Blagny 1ercru « la pièce sous le bois »
Shallow clay-limestone soil that forces the vine to seek its necessary nutrients by growing deeper into the ground. More than 80 years old, the vines produce smaller clusters, but they grow in concentrations that add a magnificent complexity to the wine.
Pairs wonderfully with bass cooked with herbs or a veal fillet in pastry.
Blagny 1er cru « sous le dos d’âne »
One of a kind in Burgundy, Blagny is the only appellation that takes the name of a hamlet and not of a village as is usually the case.
Originates from clay-limestone soil with very red earth that is full of ammonite fossils. An exclusive wine, "sous le dos d’âne"; our 1-hectare parcel is the only one in this climat planted with pinot noir.
It produces very nice red wines, silky and with plenty of finesse, favouring the expression of red fruit aromas that may come from Morello cherries or raspberries depending on the year, with slightly spicy notes on the finish.
Roast game birds pair beautifully with this, but also good prime rib beef with seasonal girolle mushrooms.
